UNDERSTANDING THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES, VALUES, AND INSTITUTIONS OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
A 9 week online course for graduate credit or professional development hours
Join us for a summer semester online course on the Constitution and American Government in partnership with the Center for Civic Education and Framingham State University
The course will utilize the We the People curriculum, an innovative course of instruction for upper elementary, middle school, and high school students on the history and principles of the United States constitutional democratic republic.
$500 for 3 graduate credits
$275 for 45 professional development hours
All participants will receive a copy of the “We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution” text.
COURSE FORMAT – (June 12, 2023 – August 13, 2023)
Weekly content video lessons with leading scholars on the Constitution
Weekly discussion forums
1 lesson plan assignments
1 final paper (due after other coursework concludes)
The course is graded by educators versed in the We the People curriculum, so participants will be provided with real-world feedback relevant to teaching these topics in their classrooms.
